Support Ministries are critical to successful church operations. In addition to accommodating individual needs and  fostering the flow of information, they convey the church’s commitment to making all church activity available to everyone.

College Ministry

The College Ministry’s purpose is to give college students the opportunity to come together, worship, and walk the Christian life together.

Special Events Meals

Our Special Events Meals Ministry are knowledgeable and friendly whose primary purpose to to assist in the planning of special events meals occurring at the church. (i.e. weddings, event, repass, and other special occasion. )

Junior and Senior Usher Boards

“Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.” (Psalm 84:10)

Sound Technician Ministry

Our Sound Technician Ministry crew manages and operates the audio equipment to enhance the worship experience.

Audio/Video/CD Ministries

The Audio/Visual/CD Ministry is responsible for setup, maintenance, coordination, and use of the church’s audio, visual, and CD equipment used during services and for other special on-and-off site events. The ministry’s mission is to glorify God by ensuring that His Word and our praise and songs to Him are seen and heard.

Greeters Ministry

“Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” (Romans 15:7)

Our Greeters Ministry mission as greeters is to enhance the worship experience by creating an environment in which worshipers feel immediately welcomed and glad that they decided to worship at Words of Faith African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Photography Ministry

Hey cell phone users! Are you ready to elevate your selfies skills? Please join our Photography Ministry. Learn to use our 35 mm camera.

The awesome news is that you can use your cell phone and the church camera to photograph our church activities.

Telephone Bank Ministry

The Telephone Bank Ministry is an outreach ministry dedicated to providing that personal touch to the congregation through phone calls and handwritten notes.

The Telephone Bank Ministry also sponsors a program every year that is designed to bring the congregation joy.

Bulletin Board Ministry

The Bulletin Board Ministry assist in the preparation and presentation of information on the church bulletin board such as announcements, events, schedules or security precautions.

Birthday and Anniversary Ministry

Your birthday and wedding anniversary are special days and we celebrate you in your birthday month on the 4th Sunday of every month with cookies and punch after church.

Website Ministry

The Website Ministry Committee is responsible for ensuring that the church website provides a current and accurate view of Words of Faith AME Church—who we are, how we worship, what we believe, and what services and activities we offer—for the benefit of our members and others who visit our website.

Van and Transportation Ministry

Through the Van and Transportation Ministry we have the opportunity to obey Christ’s teachings to “go and make disciples of all nations.” This outreach program brings young and old alike to the church to worship with us, as well as allows us to attend other evangelistic and discipleship programs outside of Words of Faith.

Tutorial Ministry

The Tutorial Ministry supports the educational development of students from grades 3 – 12.

Our objectives:
• Establish a good working relationship with the students.
• Improve students’ thinking and listening skills.
• Encourage students to have respect for God, themselves and other people.
• Establish rules of conduct and encourage good behavior.
• Motivate students to organize materials and develop good study habits.

Breakfast Ministry

“For I was hungry, and you gave Me food.” (Matthew 25:35)

If you have a servant’s spirit, please consider joining the Church School Breakfast Ministry. We make sure our children have some physical food in their little tummies so they can concentrate later when the Good News of our marvelous Savior Jesus Christ is taught. Matthew 25:34-40 tells us that when you feed others, you are feeding Christ (paraphrased). The Seniors are not left out, as we always have something for them, and every First Sunday, there is a scrumptious breakfast of waffles and omelets for everyone.

Intercessory Prayer

The purpose of Intercessory Prayer is to come together as one each Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. for Prayer, Praise, Songs, Scriptures, and the Love of Adoration and Worship.

Every aspect of the church is blessed with a special touch of prayer and anointed with the Word of God. We stand firm on our scripture Isaiah 65:24, ‘Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.’ To God be the glory as we continue to promote Kingdom Building.

Small Group Leader Ministry

If you enjoy meeting new friends, building relationships, and helping others, then the Small Group Leader Ministry is for you. Our Small Group Leader Ministry’s purpose is to support the mission of our Church, “Working Together As One,” through the inspiration of scripture that says, “We, Though Many, are One Body in Christ (Romans 12:5).”

We seek out exciting and creative ways for members to stay connected, exchange news & events, through shared experiences that enable lasting personal bonds within the Body of Christ.
